Advancing Population Health through Research and Practice Together
The inaugural Global Population Health Conference (GPHC) brings together global leaders, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to advance population health outcomes worldwide. Grounded in population health research and implementation science, the conference focuses on understanding the social, environmental, and healthcare determinants of health, while translating evidence-based research findings into effective, real-world practice that benefits communities.
The conference features an engaging programme comprising keynote addresses by international, regional, and local thought leaders, high-level plenary sessions, and themed breakout tracks across key population health domains. Participants will have opportunities to share their work through oral presentations and poster displays, engage in practical learning and dialogue, and connect with peers and experts from across disciplines, culminating in an awards ceremony recognising excellence in population health research, innovation, and implementation.
The three-day event will also include the launch of the Global Alliance for Population Health Research and Implementation™ and a brief commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the ESTHER Festival, marking important milestones in global collaboration and person-centred, integrated care.
About the Organiser
The SingHealth Regional Health System (RHS) recognises that our population can be empowered to keep well, get well and live well in their communities and homes.
To achieve this, we collaborate with like-minded agencies across the health and social care sectors to identify population health needs, promote behaviour changes and develop sustainable programmes to improve quality of life.
As an academic RHS, we also leverage population health research and implementation science to understand healthcare utilisation patterns and to facilitate appropriate interventions across the care continuum.

About the Secretariat
With an ageing population and increased focus on population health, there is a growing need to deliver good healthcare outcomes in a sustainable manner as well as to improve population health at both the system and individual levels. With this impetus, population health and implementation science have emerged as key strategic research themes within the SingHealth Duke–NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC).
The SingHealth Centre for Population Health Research and Implementation (CPHRI) was established in April 2022 to serve as the nexus for population health research, innovation, implementation and evaluation in the AMC. CPHRI aims to develop thought leadership in population health research across the life stages, accelerate the translation of research findings to care delivery, and improve and scale services though evidence-based programme development and implementation.
