CALL FOR ABSTRACT

Abstract Submission Deadline: 19 JUNE 2026

The overarching theme of our inaugural Global Population Health Conference is "Advancing Population Health through Research and Practice Together". The Organising Committee cordially invites you to submit relevant abstracts that are based on population health research for showcasing to distinguished local and international delegates at this landmark global conference.

Please note that abstract submissions are for research presentation and poster display purposes only and do not constitute speaking opportunities at the main conference sessions.

Competition Categories

The submitting author of abstracts shortlisted for oral competitions will be invited to an in-person presentation at the conference.

Oral Presentation Competition:

  • Selection: Highest-ranked abstracts advance to oral presentation slots

  • Automatic Rollover: Non-selected submissions automatically considered for e-poster category

Poster Competition:

  • Physical Posters: Highest-ranked submissions featured as A0 physical posters during the conference

  • E-Posters: Remaining accepted submissions displayed as electronic posters

 

The committee reserves the right to recommend submissions from the Poster Competition for the Oral Presentation Competition, and conversely, where appropriate.

General Instruction

  • Abstracts must be based on findings of original Population Health research, defined as an interdisciplinary field focusing on the health outcomes of groups of individuals. It studies personal, behavioural and environmental determinants of health, health outcomes, and policies and interventions that link these in efforts to prevent ill-health, improve the health of populations and ameliorate health disparities.   • Abstracts that are relevant to the programme’s breakout track topics and their implementation or practice. This can include research studies (qualitative or quantitative), evaluations, and/or analyses.

  • All authors must submit their abstract(s) online via the conference website by 19 June 2026, 23:59H (SGT, GMT+8). Submission via emails and other formats will not be accepted.

  • Abstracts must be submitted in English only.

  • Please note that any late or incorrectly formatted submissions will be rejected.

Abstract Submission and Selection

  • Abstract format:

    • Abstract title should define the topic clearly without abbreviations and should be written in sentence case.

    • Do not include title, authors, and affiliations information in the body of your abstract.

    • Abstracts should summarise the background & aims, methods, results, and conclusion.

    • The word limit for the abstract is 300 (Background & Aims, Methods, Results, Conclusion).

    • Do not include subheadings, bullets, lists.

    • Spell out acronyms in full the first time, followed by the abbreviation in parentheses.

    • No tables, graphics, citations, or references.

    • The abstract must include the study results. Statements such as ‘results will be presented’ are not allowed.

  • The author submitting the abstract will automatically be the corresponding author for the abstract submission. All correspondence will be sent to the registered email address.

  • The presenting author (must be one of the co-authors) for oral presentation can be different from the corresponding author.

  • Each corresponding author can submit multiple abstracts. There is no limit on the number of abstract submissions per corresponding author.

  • All authors in the abstract are responsible for the accuracy of their abstract content.

  • By submitting the work, all authors confirm that they have complied to all ethical guidelines and legal requirements which will allow them to showcase their work in this conference.

  • Resubmission of abstract before the Abstract Submission Deadline is permitted, and the latest submission received will prevail. Please write to gphc2026@avenevv.com to inform the Conference Secretariat of the resubmitted abstract, quoting the originally assigned Abstract ID.

  • All submitted abstracts will be peer-reviewed based on scientific quality, originality, and relevance to population health research by the Abstract Review Committee.
