ESTHER 2036: Imagining the Next Decade
Lessons from the Past, Possibilities for the Future
As ESTHER Network Singapore celebrates its 10th anniversary, this special session brings together healthcare leaders, practitioners, patients, caregivers and partners to reflect on the journey of person-centred care and look ahead to what the next decade may bring. Through an international dialogue featuring Göran Henriks, Nicoline Vackerberg and Dr Esther Lim, attendees will hear how the simple question, "What is best for Esther?" has inspired changes in care delivery, partnership and system design across Sweden and Singapore.
More than a retrospective, the session will invite participants to consider how person-centred care can be translated into everyday practice. Through stories, audience participation and shared dialogue, attendees will explore how healthcare systems can move beyond treating illness to better understand what matters to the people they serve. Together, they will examine what it takes to sustain cultures of co-production, strengthen integrated care, and build health systems designed around what matters to people rather than what services are organised to provide.
The session will also celebrate the graduation of the 10th cohort of ESTHER Coaches and recognise the many individuals, teams and partners who have helped shape the ESTHER movement in Singapore, while looking ahead to the opportunities and challenges of the decade to come.
