Seventeen years of national and international experience and a doctorate in public health with expertise in health policy and systems research (policy analysis, program evaluation, implementation research, and health systems research focusing on human resources for health), teaching and training (global health, mixed-methods research, qualitative research methods, health communication, infectious disease epidemiology, health equity), publications (more than 50 international peer-reviewed scientific journal articles, eleven books/book chapters, 40 op-eds/editorials, 15 reports/manuals/guidelines) and presentation (national and international conferences, invited seminars, policy advocacy, consultative meetings/seminars/workshops). Background also includes higher leadership positions in NGOs/CSOs, faculty positions, policy-relevant engagements in Bangladesh, Singapore and other countries, and extensive media involvement (as an expert, guest discussant, moderator, and TV anchor). Skills include strong qualitative and quantitative analytical ability, solid knowledge translation skills with a policy-level understanding of health issues, critical thinking, written and interpersonal communications, and outstanding diplomatic skills focusing on conflict resolution. Languages: Bengali, English, Persian, French, Hindi, Urdu, and Arabic. Work experience and education in Bangladesh, Singapore, the USA, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
