Abstract

This track explores how behavioural science can strengthen population health by deepening our understanding of human decision making, trust, and communication. It will examine key behavioural science principles that inform how individuals perceive risk, respond to health interventions, and engage with preventive care. Sessions will also address the psychology of misinformation—how false or misleading information spreads, why communities may be vulnerable to it, and strategies to build resilience and trust. Finally, the track will focus on communicating complex uncertainty, particularly during outbreaks or rapidly evolving situations, highlighting approaches that support transparency, credibility, and public confidence. Together, this track offers practical insights for designing more effective, trustworthy, and human centred population health strategies.
