Dr. Bee Yong Mong is Head and Senior Consultant of the Department of Endocrinology at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and Clinical Associate Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School. His research work has centred on transforming diabetes care through preventive health, early risk prediction, and data science. He leads major clinical research initiatives including the Pre-DICTED Study on preventing progression from pre-diabetes to type 2 diabetes, the Diabetes Clinic of the Future developing predictive analytics for personalised care in multi-ethnic Asian populations, and the PISCES Study using novel biomarkers to detect early cardiovascular events in patients with diabetes. He also spearheaded the SingHealth Diabetes Registry, a multi-institutional database supporting quality improvement and clinical research, and serves as President of Diabetes Singapore, leading community efforts to combat the disease nationwide.
