Nadereh Pourat, Ph.D., is professor of health policy and management at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and professor at the UCLA School of Dentistry. She is the associate director of the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research and directs the Health Economics and Evaluation Research Program at the Center. Dr. Pourat is also the vice chair for cost in the California Health Benefits Review Program (CHBRP). Dr. Pourat focuses on assessing disparities in access to care among underserved populations, including the role of the health care delivery system in disparities and health care outcomes. Within this context, she has focused on the role of health insurance and social determinants of health and has examined how innovations in health care
system redesign and care integration have impacted health care access, quality of care, and costs.
